Jazz changes are adiant and mellow - so many individual touches can be applied to them. Together with campañellas they feature to a fair degree in my album of solos ‘Perspectives for Guitar’, composed during the later decaEnter link textdes of the 20th century.

Spanning the centuries, Music for Guitar, Lute and Vihuela explores the repertoires of these instruments from the 16th century Renaissance onwards. Covering five volumes in all, unique in their breadth and depth of enquiry, each is self-contained, tracing the shaping of music for these instruments.
Delving into their musical seams, prevailing melodic inclinations, harmonies and stylistic traits come to light. Dance settings, variations on topical tunes take turn; and for the enduring guitar, studies, sonatas and ensemble participations leading ultimately to innovative idioms from recent times. Hence a treasury of appealing compositions await, of masterpieces and untold discoveries. Along the way, numerous musical examples spring to life visually in pitch notation and through clips of their soundings.
